Alley Nite Club

Located on a back street, off Eyre Square in Galway, this multi level night club explores the inter relationship between a variety of spaces to create the “Alley” experience. Many architectural devices are employed to challenge the senses of the revellers and enhance the theatrical impact, creating  a fusion between sound and space. The DJ booth was conceived as a command bridge for sound, lighting and visual technology, hence its ship like geometry, which is clad in copper panels. Externally, the facade relates to Ball Alley Lane, as a collage of Galway’s urban forms. An illuminated high level bridge signals the entrance below through a peeled back brick wall, beyond which the adventure starts.
